VENEZUELA: According to the metalworkers at the soon-to-be privatised aluminium company Corporación Venezolana de Guayana, the management of this state-owned company refused to discuss the collective work contract, which has been suspended by the central government. Protest actions will be organised in an attempt to defend the workers' acquired rights and to prevent these mass dismissals from taking place.
