ILO Watch

The International Labour Organization is the only tri-partite body of the United Nations and is responsible for setting international labour standards. Worker representatives, employers and governments of members states meet regularly to debate a wide range of issues impacting workers around the world.  

IndustriALL works closely with the ILO to build and strengthen international instruments that advance global worker protections and ensure countries adhere to fundamental international labour standards .

Global Labour University calls for applications

The Global Labour University (GLU) invites trade unionists and labour activists to apply to its Masters in "Labour Policies and Globalisation" at Kassel University and Berlin School of Economics and Law in Germany.

Labour rights are human rights

IndustriALL, together with ITUC, UNI Global Union and the Clean Clothes Campaign, has submitted to the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights a paper setting out what it means for business enterprises to respect the rights of workers to join or form a trade union and to bargain collectively.

ILO issues recommendations to Russia and Belarus

The International Labour Organization's Committee on Freedom of Association issued recommendations to Russia and Belarus on cases 2758 and 2090 initiated on the basis of complaints submitted by national unions with the support of IndustriALL Global Union.

2010 Pike River tragedy “accident waiting to happen”
