New business and human rights resources for trade unionists

16 July, 2012The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) has released a briefing note on the United Nations (UN) Framework for Business and Human Rights (the “Ruggie Framework”) and the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights.

 

The ITUC briefing note explains what the Guiding Principals are about and why they are important for trade unionists. The briefing note is available in English, French, German and Spanish. The briefing note explains what the UN ‘Protect, Respect Remedy’ Framework for Business and Human Rights is.

The ITUC is also released “A Trade Union Guide to the UN Framework on Business and Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles”. This longer document is intended to be a resource for trade unionists who become involved in working with the UN Guiding Principles. It is available in English only but it will be made available in other languages.
