This week saw striking workers resume work at state-owned North Cairo Electricity Distribution Company (NCEDC), after detained workers were released and management retracted a plan to remove certain bonuses.
Workers organized by the International Trade Union of Autoworkers (ITUA) won back weekend holidays in Summer.
A well-attended workshop for Argentinean affiliates on precarious work was held on 17 May. It examined the situation of workers in various industrial sectors.
