Union rights victory at Ashton Apparels in Kenya

15 January, 2015Over 7,000 workers returned to work on 15 January after an eight-day of strike action. The action was the result of the dismissal of 120 workers from Ashton Apparels after they joined the Tailors and Textiles Workers Union (TTWU). 

Colombian workers unite to build a stronger union

Uruguayan affiliates resolve to continue organizing

11 November, 2016When evaluating the work carried out by affiliates UNTMRA, UOC and FOPCU during the three-year project period 2014-2016, the IndustriALL Uruguay national council unanimously approved a resolution to continue implementing organising activities in 2017 using their own financial resources.

New democratic trade union federation to be established in the Mexican automotive sector

25 July, 2018Ten organizations representing over 25,000 Mexican workers announced on 13 July the imminent creation of a Federation of Democratic and Independent Unions in the automotive sector. Their hope is to participate in shaping labour and industrial policy in the country.
