Demonstration of unpaid EVM chemical workers in Budapest 14 February, 2014A hundred workers from the EVM chemical company held a demonstration demanding their unpaid wages and allowances on 12 February, 2014. VDSz historic Hungarian Hankook strike settled with major gains 25 March, 2019The longest strike in the 116-year history of the VDSz was settled in the evening of 21 March at Hankook Tire. IndustriALL Global Union’s Hungarian affiliate VDSz negotiated a range of improvements for members after the walkout by 1,700 workers had cut the plant’s production by 75 per cent. The average financial gain achieved in the settlement is 18.5% per employee.
Organizing is key in growing battery industry6 October, 2023IndustriALL Global Union and industriAll European Trade Union held their first joint meeting on the battery supply chain in Budapest, Hungary on 5 and 6 October. The joint global meeting was seen as a positive and successful experience by the participants.
