Unpaid garment workers in Indonesia target South Korea

21 March, 2019More than 200 workers from a garment factory producing for global brands such as K-Mart, Target and Disney, demonstrated in front of the Indonesia Ministry of Manpower Office and the Embassy of South Korea in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 14 March, demanding six-months unpaid wages and benefits.

16 May, 2013Indonesian cement worker, Edi Iriawadi, was imprisoned after taking action to protect workers at Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa plant, which is part of the Heidelberg Cement Group, from intruders that entered the factory in September 2012. IndustriALL demands that Indonesian authorities and the company stop these violations.

INDONESIA Rio Tinto actions

13 October, 2014IndustriALL affiliate CEMWU distributed flyers on the global day to members at the mine in Grasberg partially owned by Rio Tinto. Leadership of the union at the mine also wore campaign tshirts with the IndustriALL logo and slogan "Rio Tinto, the Ugly Truth".
