15 August, 2023On 7 August in a groundbreaking move, Bulgaria’s Parliament approved a series of amendments to the Penal Code. This is a great victory for the trade union movement as any crimes committed against workers in their right to freedom of association will now be punishable with one to five years imprisonment or fine up of to $5000.

Gunmen murder union leaders and workers in Honduras

5 July, 2023A group of gunmen murdered thirteen people in Honduras, including four union leaders and several workers from the Gildan plant in San Miguel. IndustriALL has strongly condemned the killings and has called for justice to be done without delay.

IndustriALL executive committee meeting calls for peace and social justice

Korea: union offices raided

Workers call for solutions after DOW announces plant closure in Argentina

13 September, 2021Multinational DOW intends to close its only plant producing polyurethane in Argentina by May 2022. The shutdown will lead to the loss of 120 jobs at the factory and hundreds more indirectly.

Union wins reinstatement of 1,257 workers in India
