Congress is more than a meeting; it is where we take stock and set our collective direction. The days in Sydney were a success, but more importantly it is a mandate. A mandate from affiliates across every region and sector to act with clarity, courage and determination in a world that is becoming more unequal, more unstable and more hostile to working people.

Global brands urged to support fair wages for Cambodian garment workers

10 February, 2025IndustriALL Global Union is calling on brands and retailers sourcing from Cambodia to sign the Agreement to Support Collectively Bargained Wages in the Garment, Textile, Footwear and Travel Goods Industry in Cambodia, in a bid to improve wages and working conditions for the country’s garment workers.

Fighting anti-union legislations in South East Asia

28 January, 2025Trade unionists from South East Asia gathered virtually on 22 January to exchange updates on labour law reform and commit to opposing anti-union legislation threatening workers' rights. 50 unionists from IndustriALL affiliates in Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines and Thailand shared updates.

How Next abandons its workers

24 June, 2025Next is proving not to live up to its fundamental promises when it comes to workers’ rights. From refusing to sign a landmark agreement to improve wages in Cambodia, to abandoning Sri Lankan workers by text and continuing business in Myanmar despite documented risks of grave human rights abuses under the military junta, Next consistently puts profit over people. Even its UK retail staff are denied a living wage, dismissed as “not breadwinners” by the company’s CEO.

Union leaders in Cambodia must be reinstated

24 January, 2024IndustriALL Global Union is calling on Shun Xin Luggage in Cambodia to reinstate nine union leaders whose fixed contracts (FDC) were discontinued after forming a union in the factory. 

Union win at Pontus Footwear

7 February, 2024In a victory for organizing, Pontus Footwear in Cambodia has agreed to reinstate three local union leaders from Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW). This follows over a year of engagement with American brand VFC who sources from the factory. 

T-win Garment reinstates eight Cambodian union leaders

3 May, 2023Interventions from IndustriALL Global Union and Nike, has led to T-win Garment Cambodia Co. Ltd. reinstating eight local union leaders who are affiliated to the Collective Union of Movement of Workers (CUMW). They were reinstated on 26 April.
