UCRAINA

&#160;Am 7. Oktober wird es in den Unternehmen Zusammenkünfte und an öffentlichen Plätzen Mahnwachen geben. Dank der Initiative der IMB-Mitgliedsorganisationen wird die FNPR (Russlands größte nationale Zentrale) zusätzlich zu den Slogans der Globalen Kampagne für menschenwürdige Arbeit auch Slogans gegen prekäre Beschäftigung einsetzen. Die Massenmedien sind dazu eingeladen, über die Kundgebung der russischen Gewerkschaften zu berichten.Das IMB-Regionalbüro hat zusammen mit der IUF, der VKT, der School of Workers' Democracy und dem Center of Social and Labour Rights einen Ausschuss eingerichtet, um  Ende November eine GUS-Konferenz über prekäre Arbeit und Erfahrungen bei deren Bekämpfung durchzuführen.

RUSSLAND

EUROPE: Due to recent developments at Opel and the current restructuring of GM Europe/Opel/Magna the European Metalworkers' Federation is calling for mobilisation and solidarity with the workers at the Opel plant in Antwerp, which is facing the threat of closure.The IMF adds its support to this action, and calls for solidarity with the workers in Belgium. Unions mobilize in solidarity with Opel workers in Antwerp

Mexico. Members of Section 271 of the National Miners' Union, on strike since August 8, have returned to work after reaching agreement with ArcelorMittal.The agreement included an eight per cent pay rise and a benefits package worth a further seven per cent, including two more days holiday, two more days pay added to the Christmas bonus and 15,000 (US$1,100) pesos in social welfare benefits for each one of the 3,500 union members. Agreement was also reached on an increase in annual profit sharing (from 20 to 25 days).All increases are backdated to May 1 and the company will pay 100 per cent of wages and credit vouchers lost during the strike. The value of vouchers has been increased from 150 to 170 (US$13) pesos. Other benefits included increases to company contributions towards educational grants and school equipment for workers' children, life insurance, sports, funeral expenses and much more.The union said &quot;the agreement discarded the company's initial plan to make the negotiations for a collective agreement conditional on making more than 700 union members redundant (20 per cent of union members). Nobody will lose their job.&quot;   The union added that the outcome of the negotiations showed the leadership of comrade Napoleón Gomez Urrutia &quot;who worked closely with Section 271 leaders to reach the agreement. The workers are agreed that the outcome showed the capacity, experience, intelligence and commitment of comrade Gómez Urrutia and the correctness of his negotiation and conciliation strategy in pursuit of the miners' demands.&quot;

Striking workers have returned to work after the company agreed to an eight per cent pay rise.

Oktober 2007.</li><li>Verhandlungen mit der BKDP und der SPM über die Zusammenarbeit bei den Vorbereitungen und der Durchführung des globalen Aktionstags.</li><li>Organisierung eines runden Tisches mit Vertretern der Massenmedien.</li><li>Verteilung der IMB-Broschüren in der Nähe von Unternehmen und in den Arbeitervierteln der Industriestädte.</li></ul>

BELARUS

la Federazione metalmeccanica in Montenegro sta stampando una versione in lingua serba del manifesto e dell'opuscolo che saranno distribuiti agli iscritti (forse accompagnati da una lettera). Organizzeranno inoltre una conferenza stampa in questa occasione e presenteranno il materiale stampato ai media. Poichè il 7 ottobre è la giornata mondiale per il lavoro dignitoso, la nostra Confederazione organizzerà un evento anche quel giorno ed i metalmeccanici presenteranno l'azione globale della FISM.

MONTENEGRO

Metallarbetareförbundet i Montenegro trycker en serbisk version av affischen och flygbladet, och kommer att distribuera dem till medlemmarna (kanske med ett följebrev). Man kommer också att anordna en presskonferens vid tillfället, och då presentera det tryckta materialet för medierna. Då den 7 oktober är den globala dagen för anständigt arbete kommer vår huvudorganisation också att organisera något. Metallarbetarna kommer också att presentera IMFs globala aktion.
