Making unions relevant for white collar workers

2 November, 2023Organizing, reskilling, artificial intelligence and mental health were items on the agenda at IndustriALL’s first strategic white-collar workers meeting, since 2017, held in Madrid on 26 and 27 October. 70 participants, online and in person, exchanged their different realities, needs and expectations regarding the world of work and how to make trade unions more relevant for white-collar workers in Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). 

IndustriALL and TKE unions collaborate to empower workers

31 July, 2023Working conditions, wages, social dialogue, workers’ and union rights, and the development of a global union council were items discussed at the IndustriALL Global Union, and TK Elevator (TKE) unions hybrid meeting. The Madrid meeting held on 11-12 July, served as a platform for robust discussions on national situations in TKE plants and around the objectives of the global union council (GUC) to enhance workers’ rights and strengthen social dialogue.

Inditex global union committee fighting for workers in the supply chain

Nissan to keep production and employment in Spain until the end of 2021

6 August, 2020After a long fight of almost three months, three IndustriALL Spanish affiliates - Federación de Industria de USO, UGT Federacíon de Industria, Construccíon y Agro and CC.OO de Industria - representing autoworkers at Nissan Barcelona signed an agreement with the company securing production and employment levels till the end of 2021.
