A global framework agreement between the German-based company Prym, IndustriALL, and the European Works Council acknowledges the company’s social responsibility and commitment to core labour rights.
The declaration on "Social Rights and Industrial Relations" binds the family-owned company specialized in the manufacturing of metal press buttons, electrical contact parts – also for the automotive industry – and sewing and quilting to the ILO core labour standards and the basic right of all employees to establish and join unions.
Importantly, the company supports and encourages its contractors to take this declaration into account in their own respective corporate policy. Prym "views this as an advantageous basis for mutual relationships." Prym facilities include Birkenfeld and Stolberg, in Germany, Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA and Malaysia.
