The discussion was not about technical issues or internal disputes, but about the future of a sector vital to public safety, highly skilled jobs and national technology, built over decades by thousands of workers whose expertise cannot be replaced overnight.

UGT, CCOO and ELA call for historic strike at Iberdrola tomorrow

5 June, 2025Tomorrow, on 6 June, more than 9,500 Iberdrola employees across Spain are set to join the first-ever strike in 126 years in the company. IndustriALL affiliates UGT, CCOO and ELA have called the strike in response to the stalled collective bargaining negotiations and the company's refusal to guarantee workers' purchasing power.

Global union committee advances workers' rights in Inditex' supply chain

Spain: Saint-Gobain workers fight plant closure

22 May, 2024Workers at the Saint-Gobain SEKURIT plant in Avilés, Spain, launched a three-day strike on 20 May opposing the company's decision to cease windshield manufacturing operations at the facility. The negotiation process regarding the plant closure is set to conclude on 24 May, and the closure would mark the end of over 70 years of production that has significantly benefited the company.

Making unions relevant for white collar workers

2 November, 2023Organizing, reskilling, artificial intelligence and mental health were items on the agenda at IndustriALL’s first strategic white-collar workers meeting, since 2017, held in Madrid on 26 and 27 October. 70 participants, online and in person, exchanged their different realities, needs and expectations regarding the world of work and how to make trade unions more relevant for white-collar workers in Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

On the 15th anniversary of their Global Framework Agreement, Inditex and IndustriALL reaffirm commitment with a new protocol

A world first, the agreement is still a benchmark in the defence of decent work in global supply chains.
