ArcelorMittal must keep Kryvyi Rih workers paid

29 September, 2026Workers at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih kept Ukraine's largest steel plant running through more than four years of war. Five of them were killed in recent missile strikes, and the company now says it cannot restart the plant. IndustriALL Global Union and industriAll Europe are calling on ArcelorMittal to put workers on paid downtime instead of dismissing them and to rebuild the damaged facilities.

Russian strikes continue to cripple Ukraine’s mines and communities

In the first seven months of 2025, because of Russian aggression, 676 workers were injured in their workplaces and 146 workers were killed due to missile and artillery shelling of enterprise territories, airstrikes and FPV drone attacks by the armed forces of the Russian Federation on industrial sites, production facilities and transport vehicles.
